Abstract: Rural urbanization is an inevitable choice for urban and rural development of resource-based regions, it is an impor- tant measure to promote the integration of urban and rural development of resource-based regions, the optimization and adjust- ment of industrial structure and spatial layout is an important security for the development of urban and rural economy and the promotion of rural urbanization. On the basis of expounding the relationship between industrial development and rural urbanize- tion, and the choice of industrial development path in the process of rural urbanization, the paper takes Wuan area as an example to introduce the development of urbanization in the region and analyze the characteristics of industry development, from two aspects of industrial structure and industrial space, the paper puts forward the countermeasures of optimizing the industry layout.
